Senior Internal Auditor position
What the Auditing Department has to offer?
A tight-knit department focused on helping the company to improve and streamline processes, save money and eliminate waste. The senior has a key role and will assist in creating and performing the audit and analysis procedures for the department. We are focused on data, trends and metrics to help management improve their decision process and to identify control and process weaknesses before they become issues. We use our experience from serving clients in our previous careers to identify areas that can be improved and to apply best practices.
We pride ourselves on working hard but we work to live and value our spare time. We do not have a busy season and try to divide up workloads so every one is working a normal work week.
We work closely with the external auditors (except that they usually work an additional 3-4 hours after we leave for the night). We work with the external auditors to coordinate our procedures to limit redundant or duplicate procedures.
We work with top management and deal with executives on a daily basis.
The department is viewed as a source for future accounting talent for the company and top performing candidates will be encouraged to progress into other departments after being with the company for a couple of years.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an independent person that can be a top performer and help the company to improve. The ideal candidate would have 4-6 busy seasons with a Big 4 or large regional firm with SEC experience.
The ideal candidate would not require any hand holding but can hit the ground running. The right mentality and experience is key – any specific knowledge can be improved by in-house and external training.
Required Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or similar field
• 3-6 years of audit experience at a Big 4 or regional firm
• Strong Excel skills
Desired Skills
• CPA license
• Experience with SEC clients
• Experience with ACL for data analysis
Compensation is based on experience.
