Make A Difference Through United Way
COBURG – Your contributions
to our United Way campaign helped raise a total of $86,749
for the Coburg community. Thank you to all Monaco employees
for your participation in the 2000 Monaco Coach Corporation
Campaign.
Your involvement strengthens our community and makes it a
better place for people in Lane County to live and work. Your
dollars provide food and shelter, prevents violence and abuse,
treats chemical dependency, assists older adults and people
with disabilities, encourages positive role modeling for children
and youth, and much more.
Here’s an example of the positive difference your contribution
makes. It helps to provide: 1,598 meals for homebound senior
citizens; 639 hours of group counseling for teenage substance
abusers; 400 books on parenting and child development for
teen parents; 14 months of food and shelter for a homeless
family; 11 months of 24-hour crisis line services for sexual
assault victims; 438 dental exams and cleaning for low-income
children; 400 social support activities for chronically mentally
ill individuals; 10 series of intensive therapy sessions needed
by children who have been abused; 2,078 rides for low-income
seniors, or people with disabilities, to and from doctor appointments
and the grocery store; 10 months of support group activities
for at-risk youth; 72 emergency health care packages (exams,
lab, medicine, etc.) to homeless adults and children; 12 months
of safe shelter for a mother and her child fleeing domestic
violence; and 268 pairs of shoes, socks, and underwear for
low-income elementary school children.
Thank you for extending your hand to help your community.
With your continued support of United Way of Lane County,
anything is possible!
